German tuner, Kicherer, has prepared a new performance package based on the latest generation Mercedes CLS500. The package includes matte foil, consistent performance increase, exclusive wheel/tire combinations, and the intense use of high-quality carbon-fiber elements.
The new package is called "Edition Black" and as its name suggests, it is covered with a matte-black foil that transforms the Mercedes into an exclusive one-of-a-kind car. It sits on a new set of 20" RS-1 forged wheels developed in house and combined with a sportive chassis adjustment. The black theme flows into the interior with a specifically developed, black-finish interior set.
While the exterior and interior modifications were subtle, Kicherer spared no expanse for the engine’s changes. The CLS500’s 4.7L V8 engine was massaged to deliver 440 HP and 464 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard 402 HP and 443 lb-ft of torque. Perfect deceleration is provided by a high-performance brake system with steel flex brake lines. The tuner will also be offering a Power Converter system that eliminates the automatic gear inertia.
